Safeguarding and Protection at Home-Start Cymru

At Home-Start Cymru, safeguarding the welfare of the children, young people, and adults we work with is at the heart of everything we do.

We are committed to creating a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, and supported. Our safeguarding policies set out the principles, responsibilities, and procedures that ensure we protect those who engage with our services from harm and abuse.

You will find links to our full safeguarding policies above:

Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy:
Our policy outlines our commitment to protecting children from all forms of abuse and neglect. It provides clear guidance for staff, volunteers, and trustees on how to recognise, respond to, and report concerns, and explains the shared responsibility we all hold for safeguarding children across Home-Start Cymru.

Safeguarding and Protecting Adults Policy:
This policy describes how we safeguard adults at risk, ensuring they are protected from abuse, harm, and neglect. It details how concerns should be raised, the rights of adults at risk, and how we work with partners to ensure their safety and dignity are upheld.

Both policies have been developed in line with current legislation and best practice guidance, and they apply to everyone involved with Home-Start Cymru, including staff, volunteers, trustees, and contractors.
